Children’s Safeguarding Conference 2024

Celebrating the Success of Our Children’s Conference – 18th October! 🌟

Our Children’s Conference held on the 18th of October was a day packed with excitement, valuable learning, and memorable moments! Young participants from across Seychelles gathered to engage in meaningful conversations about topics that truly matter. From self-worth and mental well-being to online safety and the advantages of using technology responsibly, the sessions were designed to empower each child.

Through fun, interactive workshops, the children learned more about appreciating themselves and protecting one another in both the online and real-world spaces. They discovered practical ways to stay safe on social media, balanced ways to enjoy their smart devices, and even shared insights on how they can help create a more positive online culture.

The enthusiasm and curiosity each child brought to the event were inspiring. It’s clear that they’re eager to use what they learned to make a real impact in their lives and communities. Everyone walked away with new friendships, fresh ideas, and a commitment to safeguarding themselves and each other.

Workshop on Bullying at EFS French School!

Our team visited the French School (EFS) to conduct three insightful workshops focused on bullying, including the growing issue of cyberbullying. Bullying affects so many children, and with the rise of online interactions, it’s more important than ever to help young people understand its impact.

Many students shared that they hadn’t realized some of their actions could be hurtful. Through these workshops, they learned how to be kinder, more supportive friends. We’re thrilled to see the positive commitment they’re making to stand against bullying in all forms!

Keeping Our Children Safe Workshop

Head teachers from every primary school recently attended the “Keeping Our Children Safe” workshop organized by the National Council for Children (NCC). The workshop provided valuable insights for professionals working with children, helping them better understand and navigate the various situations they face in their schools.
